DiscloseIT Web

DiscloseIT Web is an add-on to DiscloseIT which allows appliants to enter their information into a secure website from where it is downloaded directly into your DiscloseIT application. DiscloseIT Web is compatible with all editions of DiscloseIT, and because the applicant's information is checked on submission it helps to reduce queries as well as saving you data entry time.

With DiscloseIT Web you can:

• Provide applicants with a unique user ID and password which they can use to log on to the DiscloseIT secure website and enter their disclosure information.
• Download the information entered directly into your copy of DiscloseIT.
• Print off a disclosure application form for the applicant to sign and return†.

DiscloseIT Web is:

• Secure
  • Each applicant receives their own unique ID and password to log on to the DiscloseIT website.
  • Access to the website is via a secure https connection.
  • Data entered into the website is stored in encrypted form.
  • Downloads into your copy of DiscloseIT are both encrypted and over a secure https connection.
  • Disclosure information is permanently deleted from the website as soon as it has been duccessfully downloaded into your copy of DiscloseIT.
• Efficient
  • Data entry is carried out by the applicant himself/herself.
  • Information is checked for completeness and correctness and an application can only be committed once the checks are passed.

DiscloseIT Web is in two parts - the secure website itself, which is operated by DiscloseIT Ltd, and a web module which is installed with your copy of DiscloseIT. The web module provides the ability to create applications on the website (including generating user IDs and passwords) and download and decrypt applications without having to interact directly with the website.

† The CRB do not currently provide a mechanism for submitting disclosure applications online, thus disclosure must ultimately be printed and signed by the applicant. This is a limitation of the CRB process, not of the DiscloseIT system, and as soon as the CRB start to provide online submission we will be looking at incorporating this into DiscloseIT. Note that the CRB are currently trialling online submission, however, it will initially only be available to very large organisations processing more than 3,000 disclosure applications per year.
